Tell us something about yourself
Having worked closely with Abingdon Primary in my role as Science Advisor for the LA, I found the school such a friendly, welcoming place. Consequently, I had no hesitation in accepting the position of governor in 2010, to continue to promote high standards in teaching and learning and provide a children the best education possible in a safe and caring environment. Having been a primary school teacher, I know and understand that the health and welfare of all staff and pupils is paramount. I hope I can continue to offer advice, expertise and support to a school that is already showing exemplary attributes. My newly acquired interests include taking up salsa dancing in order to improve fitness, and I have trained as a Therapeutic Care Volunteer at James Cook University Hospital, where I now work on paediatrics. Putting a smile on a child’s face means everything!
